Breaking Bush Hog Shear Bolts - Shaft

Thanks for the advice. I started using the PTo switch to engage, and have not had a single issue since. It engages less violently than the clutch ever did.

I would also enteriain bush hog reccomendations. Any brand you are in love with? Why?

I have a Land Pride now which is doing an adequate job,but after running it for a year and a half, I still kind of miss my J D MX 6. It just mowed differently, and I kind of miss the way it mulched. Haven't been able to duplicate it with the Land Pride.I really think the deck was stronger overall on the JD, but the reason I replaced was that I broke the main shaft on the gearbox, and LP offered a better gear warranty.
