This race for cheaper and cheaper and more disposable products will continue.

It's gonna take a mindset change where more and more Americans decide they want to buy made in USA. It is starting to swing that way a bit but it will take a long time and it will depend on our relations going forward.

If the cost of waste dramatically increases, that could change buying decisions as well.

All fossil fueled machines are being replaced. B&S employed 700 locally before pulling out of Murray this year and moved a few lines to Popular Bluff MO. They claimed it cost millions to make that move.

Our B&S 2800 PSI pressure washer still runs but the new Green Works 2700 PSI electric does not need a big jerk to start it and is much quieter. CA will not be the last market lost to the move to cut air pollution. Many companies are having their Kodiak moment and the pandemic seems to be hard on the companies that counted on tomorrow being like yesterday. Companies that do not place for the future become part to the past.

It was bad timing for the 700 locals to lose good jobs but the pull out just before the Pandemic hit gave some time to make other plans. My friend over the last couple years added a motorcycle repair shop onto his long term auto repair shop so he just went full time and has to do a 50 foot commute daily.

And look at INDIAN motorcycles it has come and gone at least a half a dozen times....

The new owners will take the B&S name and slowly move all production to a slave labor country. Initially they will claim to be it's savior. Similar to other well known brand names that faced the same situation.
