Bright Orange Paint

If GUGY used Chevy orange and was a perfect match, then auto parts stores and even Walmart carries it. It may be worth a try.

I used the chevy paint on the tool box and small chain box. It' a real good match.

Just today I bought a can of "Chevrolet Orange" DE1620 like the previous poster showed. It was $5 at Auto Zone. I'll try it out tonight to see if it matches.

OK. It is night and I'm taking pictures of my tractor. The painted part is the rafter strap sitting on top of the "level indicator".

Anyway, I think the color matches even better than the photo shows (the flash saturated the angled parts, I think). I can take another picture in the morning if I remember.

By the way, gugy gets all the credit for this find, not me. I just followed his advice and went to the nearest auto parts store. Thanks, gugy.

The can says it's good to 500F, and it even has a fan spray valve! Even I can spray with that!

It doesn't get quite that hot here in Florida, but on the other hand I'm in shorts and a tee shirt (in flip-flops, of course) watching paint dry outside at 7PM on November 2.

Living South of I-10 has its rewards.

Good pic! ... good match too. Close enough for anything I'll ever need! Mucho thanks!

OK, I'm really whipping the dead horse now, but I figure that someone will want to see more orange. I used a different camera this morning, so it's fuzzier, but I think the color difference shows well enough.

The FEL, the tractor, and the Tiller all have slightly different shades of "Kubota" orange on them. The tractor is the lightest and the tiller is the reddest. The FEL is in between. The Chevy orange matches it very well, but is slightly redder than the tractor, and slightly less red than the tiller.

Obviously, one can of official Kubota paint can't match all three either.

See attached pic of the rock bucket which from Virnig was grey. I welded on Kubota Quick Attach mounts and painted the whole bucket with Chevrolet "Engine Orange" from Walmart. I think it was 2.98 for a 12 oz can (took 2 cans). But, there are two Chevy engine orange colors. One is red/orange and the other is just engine orange. You don't want the red/orange.

I used Allis Chalmers Orange: # 5339-03 BPS Paint from TSC. It matchs New Kubota orange very well for about $3.75 a can. The BPS Kubota paint doesn't match well at all as it is for the older Kubota orange.
