Hey, your trencher is different than mine and bolts on the side, whereas mine bolts on the bottom. When did you get it?

Came in today's mail...brand new! Never saw one before (with trencher), so I wouldn't know the difference.

I would imagine Richard is always finding ways to improve his products...perhaps mine is Ripper/Trencher 4.0??

I also asked Richard from Bro-Tek if he could build a quick change bucket/ripper tooth bracket like Paul Short's and he actually, contacted Paul and asked about it. Paul apparently, has a patent on it already so I guess I (we) have to wait for production from out Newoundland way... :(

Here is a pic of what the Brotek trencher did for me today...what a time and back saver!
One thing though...as I trenched in one direction and went as far as I could, I then backed over the trench to clean it up some more...mistake! The tires pushed the spoils back into the trench. Then I turned the tractor around to go the other way and the same thing happened but it was easy to clean out with a shovel as the dirt was loose...a good tool but much better just going in one direction if you can! You can keep the trench a bit deeper by going one direction too.
Anyways...I now have power to my new garage!

Mowbizz, what is the width and depth of your trench? Could you trench deeper with the tooth? lt190b

The width is that of a spade shovel blade (because I had to clean out where the tires pushed the spoils back into the trench) and the depth is about 16-18 inches. Yes, if you go one way and not try to ride back over the trench you can maintain a good 24 inches to the bottom although the bottom narrows because of the design on this particular ripper/trencher where the tooth extends a little beyond the trench plates.
