Bulldog or V2 loader?

Did this have the recommended loader subframe tied to the rear axle?

Koyker 80, and no it didnt. My buddy who is welding it for me says he has it all back together. He said it was a real pain. so ill show an update later. Id still like to find a replacement though, since id be leery of re-installing the loader with it welded.

I thought it might have been,
I wonder if the same housing is use for any other YM CUT models in similar size? Is there any No# to be found on it?

Did you have him to weld some gussets in on the top corners, and possibly patch weld anywhere else he can find that won't interfere with anything,

I suggest also have your welder make up something like this from the loader crossmember back to the transmission's drawbar mount. (Photo is from the rear looking forward). (more photos).

The loader on my YM240 shows signs of serious abuse by some prior owner - dents inside the bucket and on its top edge from ramming stuff (building demolition???) etc. (photo). But no consequential damage to the Yanmar components. I've read that this sort of subframe is essential to avoid damage to the tractor.

This could be a good reason to put a US manufactured ROP on it maybe Fredericks or someone like them would have one. Then you would have the brackets on the rear axle to attach the lower braces too (or bolt too center section like California did) and the ROP itself to put braces forward above the axle to the mid upright section of loader mount that would essentially be a frame then.

Yes just as California states, is very essential component to having a FEL on our CUT's, I built the one I have on my 1700, from the front all the way back to the rear housing, the way I attached it to the rear was to drop the Hitch drilled matching holes to where the hitch bolts up at, the lowered the hitch to the underside of the sub-frame through the holes, I did get longer bolts, I also bolt it to the mid-mount ,via: transmission, and on to the front and where the bumper mounts along the side of the engine block, and a couple extra holes I found along the way to bolt it to,

Its not pretty, but its back together. Still haven't had any luck in finding a replacement so this will have to do. wish me luck.

That looks great he did a real nice job! I wouldn't be afraid of it at all but remember what caused it though and Id get him over to help you fab some good braces and you will get another lifetime out of it. good luck :thumbsup:

WOW!! That looks Great! I agree Brace it up looks can be deceiving Esp. on just Pics. Should be fine IMO. Esp. now you know "What Not To Do" :D

Thanks for all the recent info on the importance of rear bracing when adding a FEL, I plan on getting one eventually so that's good knowledge to have. Best of luck with the weld job, it looks well done.
