Hey guys, I need some help!!! I was brushogging with my 4110 down a fence line....nothing heavy, just underbrush. I stopped and shut down the tractor to get off and walk an area for anything I didn't want to run over. When I went back to the tractor, she wouldn't hit a lick. Battery is good, and all the dash llights come on when I turn the key, but it won't crank. acts like it's still in gear, but it's not and the PTO isn't engaged. Is there a way to bypass all these lock outs so I can get it started and up on a trailer and to the dealer. It's a HST by the way. I'd appreciate any advise ro solutions

Try pressing the hydo pedals forward and backwards to make sure they are in neutral. This has been the case before. Also when you have been running the tractor for long periods of time it is easier on the engine if you give it a minute to cool down at idle. It helps prevent heat buildup.

Yes. Keep the key in the start position and jiggle anything that has a safety attached to it....PTO, hydro, etc. Has to be a safety switch that is open...................

And looked for a snagged wire especially under the floor....

Howard, If all the other suggestions dont work you have a bad sensor. I Dont have your model and I dont remember exactly what but I remember a few other strands where this happened to other guys. Dave

I have a 4400 and when one of the various safety switches is not in the proper position, the engine still cranks, but it won't start. So unless the newer models shut down the starter motor (which is possible) I would look at either the battery or starter. If newer models do shut down the starter, then I would vote for a safety switch also.
