Broke my seat

Well, lets cut to the chase, I am fat. Not sure how or when it happened but here I am, overweight, middle aged and angry.

Anyway, basically my machine lives in a wet environment. Even with cover it still gets wet 8 months out of the year. The seat had been feeling funny and I thought I could just fix it by replacing the plywood, but when I pulled the cushions up, surprise, it is all rotted out.

I debated for a while about doing Kens seat upgrade, and in the end I will do it someday, but two years ago the wife made me a custom seat cushion and I need to use it or pay a handsome price.

So I have cut out the pan, and am making a thicker base pan. More photos to come as I get on with the project.

Not the only pan you might have to cut out.
...you might also have to cut out the pancakes, pan sausages, & pan fried pork chops too! :laughing:

Finally, lots happening with life these days, looking forward to 2020 (wtf is going on with 2019?) Anyway, pix of the new pan in 1/8 steel, pix of the ruber bumpers I put in under the chair, and the wife struggling to staple on the chair cover. and the final results. WAY too fancy for the tractor, but god bless her for the effort.

Wll that is pretty nice. I think I need a chair with arms given all my slope work. But yeah, that is nice.
