The immovable object meets the irresistable force! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But, this time, I think the irresistable force blinked. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

JerryG,
Yes, but this is not that unusual. I've seen Cat's, JCB's, and a Case like this. But, I think the funny thing is; I've never seen it happen to an excavator. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I hadn't really thought about it, but I don't think I have either.

The chrome rods are too small in diameter. The dipper and bucket are primarily meant to work as the cylinders extend. If you over exert the backhoe the relief valves should open before the cylinders bend. If you push sideways against the cylinder tube or chrome rod then it is operator error. This can often be determined by the scratches or gouges left in the paint or chrome.

take it to your hydraulic rebuild shop you can get a rod for about 50.00 another 50 to machine threads on the end, weld the pin bushing on the other end and your in business. if its under warranty thats better yet but if its not this is a cheaper fix. (Don't ask me how i know) their seal kit is ALOT cheaper also.
