Does the case mention anything about replacing the non-cast brackets with the cast ones? Or is it a new upgraded cast bracket?

If the new improved one is the cast one I've already got -- I'm not thrilled about how it still broke.

Come on in, Mike, the water's fine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I remember the cast rear columns on the new loaders being touted as an improvment over the older loaders and thinking "hmm... I'm not so sure about that..."

Said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again... any time a manufacturer announces a soon to be released 'new and improved' version of a product I've been interested in - my skeptical nerve starts a'twitching.

I am sure Deere will take good care of your problem, albeit the part that broke isn't designed to be a battering ram, and is likely designed to have an attachment on it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I too don't like the cast part there, but Deere will do what it takes to take care of the problem, and beyond warranty problems as well, IMO.

Having an active dealer to help you will be a plus as well. Some service managers are a bit lazy when it comes to going through the 'fixes' and looking up new and recent information. At least that is what I have found.

But I also know that Deere has a history of replacing parts even when it was 'abuse' beyond engineering design, just to make it right with the customer and to make the part better in the mfg. end.

Very unfortunate that these parts have to be sourced from China, what is with all the Made in China parts on these new loaders?? We'd rather pay a bit more and have true deere quality!

Where did the "Made in China" thought enter in here?

The words "Made In China" are boldly cast into each of the pieces, very easy to see on both the 200x and 300x loader series castings(or forgings) That is where these components are sourced. Unfortunate! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I am not being a "smart-you you what",it is true, sorry to report.

Thanks, just curious. I'm disappointed too, but I suspect if Deere is going to sell tractors in China, then China will say they need to be selling some parts to Deere. That kind of world 'trade' has been going on for sometime, and is what "makes the world go round". I suspect there will be some changes made, as has been implied in the replacement of the castings. Deere won't let it slide, IMO.

I am confident that Deere has the situation handled too. They don't do anything half-way. The new parts will correct it I am certain.
