Broken connector near Valve Cover

I was replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket MIU11358, and when I put the cover back on (left side with the oil fill), I noticed a wire broken. It is a yellow wire with an L shaped connector (Yellow Box). I believe it was attached to the connector (Blue circle). What part do I need and how do I repair this?

Greetings and Welcome. Is this a gas or diesel motor ? Looks like a spark plug. Take another picture showing the entire top of the motor showing scale and orientation.

Is the motor water cooled, sort of looks like a temp sensor?

I go first with water temp sensor, second choice may e oil pressure switch..... Take sensor base out and see what you get....

Found a manual and it looks like temp sensor. On page(s) 5-94 and next couple it's a yellow wire, but on page(s) 5-103 and next it's orange/white:

It is Gas and that is not spark plug wire, this wire is directly to the right of the OHV cover. Will try to get a picture tonight further back.

That’s what I’d remove if it were mine, I think you will find antifreeze once you remove it. I think it’s a coolant temperature sensor, but my wife tells me I’m wrong a lot…

Do I need to drain the coolant (don't want it gushing out) before I remove? Looks like it is below the reservoir.

I agree that it looks like a sensor and would highly recommend cleaning the area up before anything else
Getting the broken parts out of the wire connection without damaging it can be fun
When you install the new sensor use pipe dope or Teflon tape not never seize on the threads and a little die-electric grease in the connection boot
Good luck, looks like an easy fix

It’s probably high enough that not much would come out. Open slowly and go from there is my best advice.
