There is no false bottom in the old setup. Here is a pic i took at Power trac of the new 422 set up.

I see two articulation joints.

I also see what looks like a properly vented hydraulic reservoir cap. Whish our PT-425 had one of those.

<font color="green"> "PT says that this is caused by scooping up dirt with the bucket and puts stress on the frame."

Now I'm worried!!! I have already done a fair amount of dirt moving...and a fair amount of going in front and semi-hard...am I to expect a problem soon!!! I HOPE NOT!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Scooping up dirt is what a bucket is for, isn't it? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

<font color="red"> I recommend taking your PT to a real WELDING shop, not a shop that also does welding! Have it properly reinforced and welded. I doubt that it would be very expensive.

Write a 'nice' letter to PT explaining what happened, and request that they pay the bill.

Even if they refuse, you will at least know that your PT has been fixed right!!

Okay- I have to admit that I have wanted to buy a lincoln 135 flux core / mig welder (115vac/20amps input) (about $550 by the time you buy flux core wire and some wire brushes). I doubt that PT will foot the bill but it may be worth a shot.

I picked up the welder at lowes last night (monday) and quickly installed a new 30 amp circuit in the subpanel in barn.

Tried out the new welder and it seems to work swell.

Here are some quick view of the excitement that followed. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
