So today after plowing snow I tried pulling the key out . I wanted to see how easy it was to remove @ off . Now this was on a 2004 CK30 and it took quite a bit to pull it out . So the only hope would be to grab it with needle nose pliers . No magnet or glue will work ! So when you get the new key I suggest cutting off some of the top .

I kept bending the key on my first tractor (gray market Yanmar) because it was located directly in front of my knee on the right side. The operator platform was obviously made for short people. I solved the problem by relocating the key to the outboard side of the steering column platform (or instrument podium or whatever one calls the area). Once on the side and as far forward as possible, no more bent keys or stabbed knees.

My LK3054 is like that, except I've never bent a key (yet), just kept turning it off. Old school tractor so it just shut off the electrical.
What I finally did was make a guard out of a short piece of 2" PVC pipe around the switch. Hard to work the key with gloves on, but that's been the only downside.

Must be an adopted tradition from automobiles to locate the key above the right knee.

?? Wonder where they locate the key on Rt hand drive vehicles??
