Grading broken mower blade bolt on 54C

Congratulations on getting the broken part out! That can be iffy, even for those that do it frequently. Even a short piece of drilled wooden dowel can make a bushing that helps though. Something to tuck away for future reference. Many folks use too large a drill in the first place, and that ends up expanding the remaining part of the broken bolt even tighter when the extractor is used.

I retired my left hand drill bits and extractors after purchasing a set of Alden Grabit extractors. Nevermind they tried to sell them on TV for $19.95 (plus S+H). These are a quality US made product that works as advertised. Here's a link or you can pick them up at Lowe's.

You can also snap those bolts off with muddy ground where the wheels are sinking...don't remember how long before I noticed the "Mohawk".
