By posting the info under your screen name
without stating it was directly taken from another source implies to any
reasonable person that you were the author.
In fact I
asked if the info was swiped from wikipedia, that was a question, I did not directly accuse you of doing so. In fact you
may have been the author of the material on wikipedia which was partly the reason it was formed as a
question. You did admit later you
took it from wikipedia and did not give credit.
Since we are discussing wikipedia go read their article on plagiarism. Here is a quote from it-
"Plagiarism is the practice of claiming or implying original authorship of (or incorporating material from) someone else's written or creative work, in whole or in part, into one's own without adequate acknowledgement. "
You might also go read wikipedia's definition of slander, which they equate to defamation, since you don't seem to understand what that means either.
Here is another quote from wikipedia for you-
"In law, defamation is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation. "
Note the use of the key word FALSE.
So are we done here? You took/stole/swiped/pilfered/borrowed wikipedias content and presented it as your own without giving credit then object to someone calling you on it, and then descended into a personal attack, which is prohibited here on TBN.
That about sum it up?
