That sure looks like a fun machine... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Curious, but who built the engine that is in it?
I probably got this all twisted up, but I want to think a few years ago while in Japan I met a German guy at a friends home, that worked for a German car company as an engineer, and was in Japan negotiating with Toyota to buy their small engines for use in a Brittish small car (mini???) that was produced by a company in England that his company bought...
Not being into cars much anymore, I remember the guy, I remember the dinner we had at our mutual friend's home, I remember the beer we drank and other details...but I don't remember the car stuff! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
That mini doesn't have a toyota engine in it by chance does it? It could be that he was just dealing with diesel engines for the European market for all I know.... )</font>
Not sure, Henro. The car was radically changed when BMW bought the Rover group. All I know is the engine is made in Brazil under contract for BMW. Pete
