I bought the FS 90 and the eighty tooth saw blade Monday. I have some small trees with long thorns on them with trunks on them from small up to two inches.
The dealer did not think I should use the 3 bladed brush knife on brush like that.
He did not have the limit stop for the FS 90 and his catalog did not list it for the FS 90. I found one on the internet and I e-mailed the seller. He said it would fit so I decided to try it. I will have to wait untill I get it to see if it will work. I can return it but have to pay shipping to send it back.
I may be a little overly cautious, but I have never used a brushcutter before.
Last summer I had to get a pair of coveralls sewed up twice because I got my chain saw too close to my left leg. It did not hit my leg either time but I now own some chaps.
jhdkalb - I think if you buy the double harness there is no way possible for the blade to contact your leg if it is adjusted correctly.. Not sure with the single harness though..
I have known others that used a brush saw blade without the limiter..
