Brush Grapple on a L3710

EA is "We’re 4-5ish months or so behind." on that grapple.

crap. right in line what I'm looking for too. DOM and AR plate. There are others I'm seeing, but are 3/16" and Sched 80.

Don't need anything wide. <60" would be totally fine, but I want/need something stout. I can't help but feel that a ~200lb grapple is just asking to be folded up like a noodle.

So I emailed the local place about a Land's Pride one. There's another one that was suggested here, and they're out of stock.

I do see a bunch of places locally that have some. Now, are these all the Chinese garbage ones? I feel like they are. For instance, I used a weld on thumb from Titan, and I ripped the first one apart removing trees. It tore right through the steel. You could tell it was cheap garbage. Is that the same for these generic listings on marketplace and craigslist?

Seems like half way decent grapples are months and months behind like everything else in the world right now.

Have a 54” dual lid wicked on the B26. Absolutely love it. About the same lift capacity. Don’t want a wide grapple on a small tractor. Over 5 years of use and abuse no damage.

There are other places to save money. EA makes some good stuff and worth the wait. While waiting consider adding rear wheel extensions, ballast in tires and front grill protection. The B26 needed all those for our hillside farm. Do you have 3rd function?

I have a localish guy that makes grapples. He's going to try to do something up for me. Only its a single cylinder instead of a twin. But its all 3/8 and 3/16" wall. Looks good.

Good. You are ahead of the curve. Be mindful of the weight. It’s not just the thickness but type of steel that gives it strength. The wicked, dual lid, 54” is 397#. You might get your guy to weld some horizontal bars in the middle between the ssqa mounts like the wicked to help prevent branch pokes. Doesn’t have to be heavy bars.

Grapple tines bypass or touch? Have one of both and advantageous of each. Wicked touches and can pick up a twig or fist size rock. Hope you are in grapple heaven before too long.

huh. good question. something I had not considered. either one would work though. I've got a manual thumb on the back if need be.

Used the 72” skidsteer grapple with bypass tines 20 years before getting a little wicked for the smaller tractor. Amazing dexterity. Been cutting and moving a lot of limbs. Always some drops and rocks kicked up. Using the little wicked to pick the drops and rocks while doing a little mowing where branches kept me out. Someday you might appreciate not having to get off/on so much. Wife doesn’t seem disappointed losing part of her limb stacking job.
