Mowing brush hog mower for a 26xl

I've seen some posts that folks are using a 60" brush hog behind a 26xl. I spoke to a dealer who said a 48" was the recommended size. I am looking at the Mahindra rotary cutter either in 48 or 60 inch and would prefer the bigger coverage. I am mowing grass with some small willow patches up in the mountains of Oregon. Wondering what folks experience is with a rotary cutter and the 26xl?

you can easily swing a 5' hog behind that 26. I do regularly, also swung the 5' on the Max 24 with no issues other then the weight on the back. I traded in the max 24 and got a 2538.

Dont worry you will be fine with a 5' hog, dont go 48" not wide enough to cover the tires. GOOD LUCK

Forgot to add.....

I have a 5' mahindra rotary cutter it is made by kodiak, it tackles everything...... 2" saplngs with ease...... also have hit a few 3" to 3 1/2" saplings....... chomp chomp chomp

Just make sure you get a slipper clutch.... not a shear pin......

Agreed, 60" is no problem for the Max26xl.
