The 285 has a 110hp gearbox, 10ga top deck, rated to cut 2-1/2" diameter, and 785lbs. Not the heaviest cutter on the market in 5', but certainly not the lightest either. With a 2200# tractor, You will likely need ~250lbs up front to be stable. or just leave the loader on and not worry.
The squealer drops to a 65hp gearbox, 11ga top deck, 2" cutting diameter, but only sheds ~150lbs down to 636. Should handle it fine with no weight barring going up any kind of incline.
I would consider both of those medium duty.
Lighter would be a razorback rz60 or rz160. 40hp gearbox, 1" cut capacity, 450#
Heavier would be a 295 w/ 130hp gearbox, 3" cut cap. and 906#
or a 325 w/ 190hp gearbox, 3-1/2" cut cap, and 1185lbs.
There is a wide range of 5' cutters. probably wider than another size. from under 500lbs to over 1000lbs.
And most all big mfg's have similar lineups from light to medium, to truly heavy cutters. Land pride, woods, rhino, etc.
