I hope so. Oldest just started high school today and is on the golf team. Youngest started 4th grade and starts cheerleading soon. Minor health issues with the in-laws, too. Life is busy right now. :D

As far as building a house, our county and state are in the middle of a property tax nightmare. If I take the blueprints of my house to the county, they cannot even give me an estimate of what the property taxes will be because it is based on market value and they have to see the completed house to guestimate what it could sell for. There is no way to budget for them. Could be anywhere from $2000 to $5000+ Right now my property taxes are only about $600 (six hundred) per year.

Also, I was planning to use the backhoe to install my own septic system. They just changed the rule so that now you have to be a licensed installer to do it.

Anyhow, we will bite the bullet and talk to builders very soon. I would like to get things nailed down and have the foundation poured in early spring. Should be about 1700 Sq feet on first floor with full walkout basement. Entrance hall, living room, dining room/kitchen, guest lav, mud room/laundry and master bedroom/bath on first floor. Large storage room, larger recreation room, study, two bedrooms and full bath on lower level. Utilities on lower level, too. I'm excited yet sick to my stomach at the same time! :D
Have you checked to see if you might be able to get certified to install septic system, it might not be too hard to get certified. Several years ago a friend of mine had to put in a septic system and he got licensed and did the job himself and saved a lot. The regulations might not be the same in your area but it might be worth checking into.

I had this problem with my county also. I took my plans to a bank appraiser and got the loan appraisal reduced it by 40% for the taxable value here and multiplied it by our millage rate 12.345 and this gave me a real close estimate of my taxes.

I can see why you guys like these machines so much, so much better having the cutter out front!

Oh, and I just have to comment on your accent! :D

The camera has an anti-shake feature that really works well. I can hardly hold a cup of tea without spilling it. :)

Which camera is it? How do you have your web cameras hooked up these days?

I enjoyed the video. The commentary made me laugh; our barn driveway is 18 degrees, and the new PT photo that I posed is of the tractor cresting that onto "flat land", but that's why I bought a PT.

All the best,

Peter

It is a Sony Handicam that uses 8mm tapes but records digitally. I get one hour of video on one tape. I reduced the resolution a lot and it took 14M for a little over 5 minutes. One hour at that reduced resolution would be almost 200Meg. If I would copy at full resolution, it would take about 4.5G for one hour.

We work with some interesting systems in Hollywood for making movies. Right now we are running at 450Mbps... MiniDV is 3.7Mbps... Nirvana will be if we can get 1.5Gbp.. That is true, uncompressed Hi Def... Chips create that size/speed of image but nothing can keep up for recording it. It is completely crazy my edit system at home has 4 terrabytes of raided storage and I am tight...
