Spoke to the neighbors this afternoon. It turns out the Meth Dealer / Addict was in a previous life a logger. He had all sorts of heavy equipment... As for the dozer, one neighbor says that there is a dozer upside down in one of my ravines. The other neighbor says there was, but that the Tweeker got it pulled out after 6 months...

My property is in BAD shape. Pretty much all of it is 10ft high blackberries. And the previous owner clearly had nothing better to do but throw his junk into the woods.

This afternoon I found stacks of pallets and cinder blocks. Pallets turned to mush, cinderblocks made a mess...

As for the Rebuilder and his winnings, maybe tickets to my next movie. Problem is it is a year away at least and it may suck...

Sounds like what you need is a slope/ditch mower like the one I just bought.
Something you can sit in one place and reach out and clear a little while your watching it, plus being able to reach uphill and down into gullies.
Shame your so far away, as I would be interested in giving it a tryout.

I found some old rusted cable with the brush hog, it took a lot of swearing and some time to undue the mess. Luckily it was only about a 5-6 foot long piece to untangle.

I plan on renting a dozer with a rake in a month or so. The rake rental is an extra $150 for the week. So you found yourself a real nice hunk of metal.

I feel lucky.. my hog mostly finds burried lumber and horse shoes..

My most frequent surprize so far has been rolls or wads of barbed wire. They get picked up and spun around by the blades but not wrapped around the shaft thank goodness.
