Brush Mulching: Anyone heard any good rumors about new equpment coming out?

That would be an extremely costly delay for ASV. I've seen where supertrak has uped the cat version from 120 H.P. to 140 H.P.. And also where takiuchi is coming out with one even bigger than the TL150, supposedly going after the mulching segment. Rayco has uped there smallest version to a 100 H.P. with the high flow pump.

I like my ASV but with the need for more H.P. in a manuverable cost effective frame ASV just may loose there edge. To make money doing this it comes down to the bottom line and if another machine can do it better that is what we'll have to use.

I like the looks of the new Supertrak 140 with the steel tracks BUT the Rayco C140 still blows it away in the GPM and PSI. I wish Rayco had loader type arm and could still put out those numbers.

The Supertrak 140STR is going about 170K with the BH85SS head.

I don't see any steel tracks available for the Supertrack 140, only rubber.

Supertrak 140STR

They come in a 14" single and 18" triple grouser.

there were a couple guys looking at them up here, but the major thing that worried them was that the machines were modified in Florida and they were wondering what kind of support they could get without a decent dealer network in place. The specs are impressive, but I think the weight is too much for the rubber track version (Think of the problems the CAT 257 causes that undercarriage that was made for a machine almost half a ton lighter). I think that the steel undercarriage would be the best option, although it would limit you to larger trucks and trailers and areas where ground damage wasn't a problem. I also think it still has a low ground clearance.

I just went to the gyrotrac web site to check something and right on the opening page the GT-13 that was 125 H.P. is now 140. That didn't take long! Tell me they don't watch there competition.

Again, with all the new sealed cabs and H.P. increases ASV needs to answer. They have what it takes, we'll see if they make it.
