A few times, I've seen posts showing a brush ripper attachement. It had a short sawtooth head, similar to a sickle bar cutter, that was mounted to an extension boom. This attached to the three point hitch. In operation, it would be pushed into the brush mess, and then the tractor would drive out ripping the tangle out by the roots. Can anyone guide me to these posts or to a picture. I want to fabricate something, but need some fresh memories.

I think I figured out what you are talking about. If I figure it out right you have to build me one too!

I hope this helps (and I hope you build me one too)

I see Spencer already posted the links to the "Tree Getter". I remember seeing another one someone had made. It was very similar. The main difference was that the frame had a triangle from the lower arm hitch points to the top link, rather than the inverted "T" configuration shown here. I would think that the triangle configuration would be stronger, and hold up better to any off-center pulling you might do.

If I could weld, I'd have already made myself one.

The was another thread called cleaning fencerows is fun now, or something like that. It had pics of a couple of different ones.
