Thanks to all for your thoughts. Since I am primarily going to use the loader for digging and landscaping to start, I am going to go with the 60" bucket. It sounds like it would be more appropriate to add a toothbar to that bucket than to put one on a more material-oriented bucket. If I feel like I need a material bucket, I have experience with the one I have been using and will get the 68" as a 2nd like others have/have suggested. My first need is for digging though, so that is the direction I'm going for now.

According to my dealer, the 60" bucket has shipped and should be here shortly. I mentioned my satisfaction (or lack thereof) with my mower and we may work something out to trade for a 72" RFM that will cut out the tires better. I feel like I have been a "high maintenance" customer, but he will get my loyalty and $$ over the long run...

I guess this is a little late, but I have the 60" QA bucket on my DX29 and find it's just fine. For me, in some cases, it's actually almost too big. Getting into my firewood storage area is a very tight fit, and when I pitch the thing full of glacial drift rocks I can overload it. Granite is heavy!

On the other hand, I can use it to pick up a full bucket of #57 limestone and it's just fine with the weight. Consider using the cost difference to order out an Add-a-Grapple. I have one on mine and it's the best $500 I've spent since the engagement/wedding rings.

The shape of the bucket is different from the pin-on model, and it actually has a bigger volume than the 60" pin-on by about half a cubic foot.
