Bucket prices for the 723 FEL.

Looking for the approximate price difference between the square back 72" bucket (L2235) and the 72" HD round back bucket (L2440)? Also any other comments appreciated.

There is about $330.00 difference between the L2235 and the L2240 buckets. Hope this helps.

First of all, nice dog! I would most certainly get the HD bucket. Unless your strictly going to handle lightweight materials, having the extra metal and large stiffner across the top is a real bonus when your using a toothbar and get one corner into a root or rock. It helps keep everything from getting tweaked. If you install a middle bucket hook, having the extra beef up there insures the bucket keeps it's original form. I found this out with the standard bucket on a L48 I once had. My L3830 has the LA 723 and HD bucket with a toothbar. For what my opinion is worth, get the HD bucket.

You might consider what I did. I had the quick attach option added to my LA723 and since I wanted the ATI grapple, I got the 66" HD bucket instead of the 72". Much stiffer and I did not lose much in volume. Unless you will be doing a lot of digging in abrasive materials you will probably not need the bolt on cutting edge. Certain tooth bars (Markham Welding for one) will not fit with the bolt on edge and it is only about 1/16" thicker than the normal edge. It can always be added later.
