Bucket Skids.

I did that on the first one, it was a Stanhoist loader on a John Deere A. It worked OK, just wasn't as neat looking as slotted.
A single tab setup won't work. They will bend. One on top and one on the bottom is the way to go. Put one set on each end, and one set in the center to keep from bending the pipe.
I've put pipes on 3 tractor loaders and on my homemade snowpusher. Leaves the gravel on the lane.
Just be careful not to put too much down angle or down pressure on the bucket for the first snowfall. You want to leave a little snow so it can pack into and on top of the gravel. Not a lot, just enough to cover it.

My thought behind the "SKI" concept is to use the FEL in "float mode" so I don't have to worry about the "down force". The "ski tip" front being angled up, will help with the bucket angle keeping the edge from digging in. This should leave a "skim coat" of snow that will freeze and provide a firm solid surface on the gravel.

If I have an issue with the FEL edge digging in with the skis, I'll look at coming up with a way to mount a pipe onto the "SKIS". That could be an interesting concept.
