I inherited a new holland TC33D.
I was moving some dirt and spreading it.
Then the bucked stopped dumping (rotating down) when empty.

So I changed the hydraulic fluid and filters.
That stopped the squealing and "cavitation"
But the bucket still won't rotate down when empty.

I can scoop up dirt and with a full bucket I can dump and fully rotate down.
But not with an empty bucket, it will only rotate down a little bit.
The other thing I noticed is when I dump a load and pull the tractor forward, lower the bucked and back up to spread the dirt..... The bucket just rotates back up.
The hydraulics won't keep the bucket rotated down.

I can't find any hydraulic leaks.

Any thoughts on what to do next?

Thanks

Kurt

no specific knowledge, but if it were me, I’d disconnect and then reconnect the quick connect hydraulic lines to the loader. Hopefully that will be a simple fix.

Never mind!

The internet is a great thing.
Did a search for bucket won't rotate down.
A guy was having the same problem and was told to check the quick disconnects.

Sure enough one was unconnected.

Problem solved......

The funny thing was I changed the hydraulic fluid, filters, engine oil and filter, fuel filter and flushed the coolant. I never noticed the unhooked coupling.

Tunnel vision I guess.
