Soon 20K won't cover the fuel expense of driving around looking at the possibilities.

Assuming you are getting decent quality implements, the DK35SE quote you have is a good price, if you want a larger tractor that won't break your budget, then take a look at the DS4110 or DS4510, you get the bigger loader capacity of the DK40 with a much lower cost that will allow 6' implements and should still keep you under 20K.

I've owned a DK35 for over 5 years. I have over 1200 hours on it and it has never failed me with one exception and that was when I got a bad batch of fuel, but that's not the Kioti's fault.

I have 87 acres of hay fields and mixed northern hardwood forest. I've used it to haul logs, plow fields, bushhog 20 acres of field, haul gravel to repair roads, and many other duties. By the way it has a 66" bucket and I can load it full with gravel and lift it with no problem.

It uses about 3/4 of a gallon of fuel per hour of operation and has been very dependable, it gets to -10 or more here and it always starts with just 2 cycles of the glow plugs.

I've not found the need to wish I had the DK40, I know many here will tell you that more horsepower is always better but as the old farmer down the road always said "Why feed 2 horses when you only need one to do the job."

Well guys, I went with the DK35. It was delivered today and I had a chance to make a few rounds of some pasture mowing. I can only say that I am proud to be part of the pack. I appreciate all of you who responded and those who just viewed the thread. I'll be posting some pictures after this weekend and plan to give updates on my experiences in the future. I'm tickled orange.

Congratulations on the New DK 35.
I have owned a DK 35 for going on 10 years. It has been the perfect size and strength tractor for my 15 acres.
I have used it for everything from digging/building my driveway and road to the barn. Digging a foundation for a polebarn and swimming pool, digging/installing thousands of feet of utilities and drainage pipe. To mowing the field and mowing the lawn.
Never needed more power to get the job done.
My DK 35 has no problem running a 6' box blade, 7' backblade, 8 1/2' backhoe, 6' rototiller, 6' brushmower and a 7' rear finish mower.
