And they messed up a good Ford truck to boot. From the look of it, it will be but a memory (painfull).

I hate it when that happens.

Hope the kids are OK. And when they get over what ever this caused, I wonder if the parents punishment will hurt worse?

If thats the jet I heard about on the news, it belongs to one of the big wine makers here in the finger lakes. The $$ amount I heard on the news was $1 million in damage!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Wait till the parents get that bill /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nah.... nothing will happen to the kids. The owner of the Ford will take the heat. He/She is the one that left the keys in the ignition switch. It might even turn out to be one of the owners of the damaged planes that owns the car, so it will be a double whammy for that person. The lawyers will have fun pointing the finger of blame at every one else, except for the negligent party. The parents of the children that didn't exercise enough parental control to teach these kids the difference between right and wrong.

Ouch..... that was a recipe for disaster. Sounds like the boys didn't have enough respect for what wasn't theirs.

Von, I checked the N-number of the Falcon 50 because it has the same paint scheme and probably belongs to to the same owners. The owner is Seneca Foods/Canandaigua Brands in Penn Yan, NY.

Having gone so far as to identify the owner, I should also say that the info I got passed to me is just hearsay. I have no actual official knowledge of this incident nor how it came about. I only have a single story in an email and these photos.

I posted this because it just goes to show what a few moments of inattention can lead to. I've operated scissor lifts several times in close proximity to someone else's airplanes during photo shoots, and I'm always afraid of making a mistake and running into a wing or fuselage. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
