Building a new road pics

I know we all like pics of our tractors in action.

We are working on a new 40x64 18ft high pole barn at my parents house. Here are some pics of the driveway construction...

thanks for sharing the photos.....

i like the geo fabric, what do you think of it? for my run it'll cost me about an extra 1500 but i'm guess that it'll be well worth it.....

I won't put in a driveway without the fabric. Well worth the investment.

Thanks for the pictures. So you just tilled the sod right under. Did the tiller cut a nice straight line? Never used a three point tiller. Then scooped it up?

We tilled down about 6 inches for most of the length and down to about 14 inches where we had to cross a drainage ditch to install 3 inch rock

We used a box scraper to remove all the dirt from the area and it will be used as topsoil around the new building

Nice job, very proffesional looking. Hey, your only a couple of hours away, I'll let you haul a couple of loads of the topsoil to my house just to get rid of it. A full sized semi trailer full should do me nicely. I never thought of dirt as being a valuable comidity, but after paying for 3 truck loads, it's pretty good stuff, and of course I need another load again.

I know the feeling about paying for black dirt. Even with all we salvaged from this project, I think it will take a few loads to complete the landscaping around the new building...

Building roads sure is fun. When I did it on a hill I used the CT322 Deere and 3720 to get it done. It is just a dirt road or a horse highway. Them horses love it!

Nice pictures, sure would be nice to have such nice flat land to punch out a road on. It's taken me five week-ends just to level out a spot to put my shop on. Need some rocks?
