"Noah" was one of Bill Cosby's first stand up comedy routines from the early 1960's...

"Who’s that?"
"It’s the Lord, Noah."
"Right. Where are ya? Whaddya want? I’ve been good."
"I want you to build an ark."
"Right. What’s an ark?"
"Get some wood. Build it 300 cubits by 80 cubits by 40 cubits."
"Right. What’s a cubit?"
"Let’s see, a cubit, I used to know. Don’t worry about that.
After you get that done, go out into the world, collect the
animals two by two, male and female, and bring them into the ark."
"Right. Who is this really? What’s goin on? How come you want me to do all these weird things?"
"I’m going to destroy the world"
"Right. Am I on candid camera? How you gonna do it?"
"I gonna make it rain for a 1000 days and drown ‘em out."
"Right. Listen to this, it’ll save you water. Make it rain for
40 days and 40 nights and wait for the sewers to back up."
"Right."

Bill Cosby is going to be at the Canfield Fair this year. The tickets are 25 dollars each, but it's good clean fun for the entire family. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The Bill Cosby "Noah" skit is probably one of the funniest stand up comedy routines ever. And like AndyM said, it manages to remain clean and family friendly.

I can relate to it. As you would be aware Aust is very dry,and the last 5 or so yrs there has been wide spread drought. the river (river Murray) has the least flow in history at the moment due to the drought and increased irrigation. It is a joke here about getting the houseboat to the water or am i waiting for the river to rise. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It has since been re-released on CD and is available from amazon.com.

Is there an Australian website to purchase this kind of thing from? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I see Amazon has websites for United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and France, but none for Australia.

It is worth the price of the CD, just to hear Bill Cosby's delivery of his "Noah" routine. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
