Thanks, we were really heart broken when we saw it.
Fortunately I still have a pistol range in my back yard with a really secure "berm" in the form of a very steep, wooded hill. My son used the three sided range for training Law Enforcement and advanced pistol/revolver/carbine for civilians, so he could do dynamic, shoot and move etc. He is changing careers and going into the medical field; begins classes in a week or so, so he will only be doing CCW Training. I think we are going to rebuild only one berm and use it for that as well as rifle up to about three hundred yards. It will be on hold for a while though.
We have very few rocks on our farms close to the surface. In big, deep wash outs/ravines we do have some boulders, but just north of us the hills have a lot of surface rocks and boulders; very unique area with flat land, hills, clay, sand and rich loam. Just a few miles away, our clay is so unique, we have one of the largest "kitty litter" production facilities in the US, Purina Tidy Cat near Bloomfield.
Just up the road we have a lot of Kudzu someone planted to control erosion and you know how that goes.
