Ill be up there on Friday. Plan on getting some drone footage and more pics of where else I have cleared. Didn't realize its been awhile since I snapped some pics, looks much better right now.

Did you say drones? Now you are talking... adds another dimension to your build! I don't use mine enough.

Above is a Google Earth image of the property, crudely edited to show locations of key parts of the property. The red outlines show the old house in the upper left, and the proposed new house location overlooking the pond.

Gearing up to install a 2650 gallon water tank on the hill to temporarily get some water to the property (have a 500 water buffalo to make trips with to fill) and start running irrigation and get some more trees going, and have some water at the property to work with since the well isn't getting drilled til early next year. That begins Friday!

Prepping for water storage tank

Had a chance to try out the new backhoe thumb while I cut access to the water storage tank pad that's on the hill. Very please with adding the thumb, super useful! As I worked my way up the hill I'd grab rocks and trees, move them out of the way, cut with the hoe, then back drag, rinse, and repeat. This would have been a great task for the 36" bucket but I was too lazy to swap it out, so I just used the 18".

Found a 2650 gallon tank for $1200 that I will install shortly, then I can use the water buffalo to fill and maintain it and start on digging my water lines. Slowly but surely, coming along!

Drone Footage

Finally got around to recalibrating the batteries on my Phantom 2, and got her back in the air. Here is a video of the property, enjoy.

No hotels for 50 miles, just the two neighbors who build right next to each other, no other neighbors besides that.

As far as the hill goes, from the paved road its about 45-50ft, from the new house pad its roughly 35ft, and the water tank pad is about 20-25ft higher than the house pad. Planning on gravity feeding trees and small projects until the new well gets drilled in January.

Building the gate

Been thinking about building my gate for a few weeks now, and its time. So spent some time 3D modeling the gate I wish to build. Keeping it simple but I think it will look great.

Other than that, just been trenching water and prepping for the house remodel. More pics and info later!

Enjoyed the video; well done. I had to turn the music off though, I was beginning to develop a twitch in my neck and right eye.
