Building Quick Attach Plates

Not to derail, but what are quick attach plates?

Thanks,

The plates he is building are for the Powertrac tractors they own. They are similar to the SSQA standard quick attach for Front end loaders and grapples and forks and such, only propriatary to the Powertrac. The plates will probably be used to put on to other implements they would build or buy to adapt them to their system. This is all conjecture of course as I don't have a Powertrac tractor, but that is what I think until proven wrong (and I have been before:))

You got it right....
The quick attach on Power Tracs is standard on all models (weren't a long time ago). All implements mount on the FEL arms on the front of the tractor. There is a male plate permanently attached to the FEL and all attachments have female plates, which is what Woodlandfarms is building. You can change an un-powered implement in 15 seconds without getting off the tractor. Powered implements (all powered implements are powered by hydraulics) take a few seconds longer because you have to get off the tractor and hook up the hydraulic hoses. So figure 45 seconds if you don't stop to admire the tractor.
