My son goes back to college soon and decided that he needed a new pc. We have never bought one as we have always built our own, but this time the machine was going to be a high end one. AMD dual core 3800 chip, 300 meg hard drive, 2 gigs of ram, a sound card the at enables you to record an instrument direct and a video card that was awesome. Everything went well until after running it for 5 minutes the machine developed a nasty sound.
I felt bad for the boy as he had spent so much time and money on this thing. Any way a tech support at the video card maker suggested we check that a paper sticker on the card fan had not got detached. Sure enough there it was flicking against the grill.
problem solved and we are backshooting up the universe.
