I don't need a shrub bucket, but I really like your quick attach. It could be used for a snowplow or forks

Great Job!

I just hope my better half don't see this, or I'll be moving some some bushes that I convinced her was too much work by hand.:D

I just love mine, it's a simple and good design and real easy to make, here is mine

Hey Mr. Jimi,

Is that a full sized version like Champy's or is it smaller? From some reason the perspective on the picture makes it look small.

Champy,

Nice work. I'm inspired to build a 3PT version of that when I get the time, metal and money. :)

My bucket is 4 feet from front to back and somewhere around 16 inches across the flat bottom and my backing plate is also 4 feet wide, if you'll notice the shapes are very close, I sent Champy my cutting diagram and he made a few mods to his taste and mine is different than the one i saw, It's all in what you want. Also mine is 3/8 and he made his from 1/4 and I don't think either of us will bend a bucket, and my crappy pictures are from a .3MP cell phone camera
Go ahead and build ya one, they are extremely useful. I use mine on the front of a Case skid steer that weighs around 6,500 pounds

Attached are some photos of a "new" shrub bucket I built with the help of some friends. I saw some pictures of these buckets and worked up a design of my own (with some help from Mr. Jimi - thanks) that works for my JD 300CX FEL quick attach bucket. Pops right on and clips into place neat as a pin.
.........

Champy,

Where did you come by the bucket mounts and QA pins? Are these available from JD or someone else? Given your frame design, one could add almost anything to the front end of that bracket, which is sweet.

Hello Papafoxtrot,,,
I was reading this post, and noticed your question regarding the hooks and QA pins for the JD QA system. I just ordered mine from the JD parts website, and they were delivered to my JD dealer within a few days. You can go to JDparts.com,,,,, or here are the part numbers :
pin #W47211 @7.99 each and
hook #W43359 @10.25 each
so I spent right around $35.00 for the pairs.
Hope this helps !!

JT,

Most excellent! I'm going to call my dealer in the AM and order a pair of each. I've been working on the design of a debris basket/container that I can dump from the FEL. I was going to try and grab it with the frontier forks I have, but this kicks it up a notch.

Thanks Again
