Bullet proof BX

   / Bullet proof BX #21
Roy:
The Diff lock may have been broken since summer or earlier. With the "new" house driveway, it was very easy to see that both rear wheels were not turning, due to the grade and gravel base.
I use the BX 2200 to do small side jobs, and with 400 hours on it now, no one incident stands out. With the 4WD, I had not seriously checked it until now.

The "silver lining" I reference is also the fact that I had some large pieces of steel (diff. shift fork) in the bottom of the case, waiting for the right opportunity to damage/destroy the transmission.

The skid plate is mower frame mounted, and has no interaction with the locking differential.
The dealer is submitting the repair for warrenty review by Kubota.

May all our tractor mishaps stay behind in 2002.

Walt,

I gotta give you credit. If it were me that had to eat that amount of cash, I'd be in a really, really bad mood!
