What you say is true, but.

Curious why you did not install the gage in the IN port.

With gage installed in the IN port, it will indicate any pressure develops by your hyd. FEL, remotes, 3pt.

Several reasons actually.

First, the location wasnt the greatest to be viewed from the operators seat.

Second, with a little math and experience, I can judge pretty close, how heavy something is that I am lifting. If I had that on the IN port, I wouldnt have any idea if the pressure I was seeing is from the curl, 3PH, or lift circuit. So I put it on the lift.

It is also installed with quick connects. So if I need to check/troubleshoot another circuit on the FEL, I can move its location easily.

Here is what my install looks like:

LD1, what exactly is the female/male connectors on the FEL are they ISO 7241 A's or ISO 7241 B's? are they 3/8 or 1/2? I never was sure what they were.

You can read the pressure for each spool operated on the tractor with the gage in the IN port of the first valve.

You can also figure load using pressure on the 3pt.

So am I correct that simply turning the bolt in ( tightening it ) that is May bump the pressure without swapping washers ?

Not sure what the iso number is. They are parker 60-series in 3/8"

Yes, that only allows me to see what pressure it takes to operate. After the valve is closed, I am no longer getting feedback as the circuit is isolated.

I like the dynamic feedback. Like when pushing on something with the FEL, I can see pressure climb. When using curl to try to lift something the loader wont, I can see how high the pressure is getting in the lift cylinders. When loading a bucket full by hand, weather its stones from the field or firewood, I can keep an eye on the gauge to judge the weight.

If you have a L3400, no.

Your L3400 has shim type adjusters in the relief valve on the bottom of the hyd block.

You simply add the shims you need and tighten down the cap.

Start with the .1 mm and see how much increase you get, then add shims as necessary to achieve your goal.

Your L3700 is the same as the L3400 relief valve.

Thx,about a year or so ago I got shims from the dealer, just have not gotten around to climbing under the tractor to do it yet.

From the Parker web site.

60 Series Couplings are general purpose, double shut-off, quick disconnects that can be used in a wide spectrum of applications. They have poppet valves and manual sleeves. 60 Series couplings comply with industry standard ISO 7241, Series B.

This is NOT correct at all, J_J... See ritschner post number 203 above to see why. It depends on how many shims were put in when the tractor was assembled (?). Not sure who puts them in. I was able to tighten and get 150 extra psi.

As for just blindly turning the nut without knowing the psi... you have to ask yourself, are you willing to gamble with buying a new pump???

Anyone willing to bump theirs up to 3000 to see how long it lasts??? :) I'm thinking of bumping it up to 2700, too :p
