Last year I drove my spouse to the west coast and back and we stuck to the old US highways. Somewhere west of the Mississippi we saw some of these signs...not sure but I think it was either Nebraska, South Dakota, or Wyoming. Sticking to the old highways was a real treat and you get to see terrific sights, find good food spots, and meet great people.
