Burn Pile, forced air blowers

/ Burn Pile, forced air blowers #11
I will use a blower to start a burn pile. Once it is going, I use the blower at lower rpm. Once the pile is hot, usually don't ned the blower anymore. I just use my Husky backpack leaf blower. Set the rpm as needed. If it is blowing ash, it is blowing too much. Works great.

I sometimes will use some kindling and dry firewood at the bottom of the pile to help get things rolling too.

Your idea sounds interesting in an elaborate sort of way. Me? I just place my backpack leaf blower a few feet away and let it run on idle after lighting off the burn pile. It generates enough of a breeze to spread the flame without blowing sparks everywhere.
