Enjoy it, recycle what you can. You can learn a lot from that piece of junk, I wish I had had it when I was 14!!! All I ever came up with were some junk lawnmowers.

sweet! That tiller must not of got too hot. That data plate would have melted away first. Good luck it should be a fun prodject.

Im pretty sure I found the site. webpagetemplate I cant wait to use the tiller in the garden. One thing is since it is a 50" tiller, will my Yanmar be able to handel it?

Nice! If the tag is on the tiller as nh rob said, should be a good candidate for a rebuild. And still having oil on it after the fire is a real good sign that heat was not extreme to 'cook' the gears. Scotty, I did not mean to come on to strong niether YES! more youth should get out, turn a wrench and get greasy! My granddad bought me a 1/4 dr. socket set when 5 years old, hooked ever since. Even after getting in trouble from taking the socket set to school and dismantling parts of playground fence

Here is what the grill guard looked like at first. It was rusty and a little warped from the fire. It is still usable. I took the grinder, cleaned it off, used a sledge hammer to bend it strait, then put 2 coats of black rustoleum paint on it. I cant wait to put it on my Yanmar. I just need to make a mount for it. I think it came out pretty good. I only payed $0 for it and its restoration.

Okay, i have the bucket off the tractor. is it useable? It is warped from the heat a bit. i plan to test it out on a JohnDeere 2210 with a 210 FEL to see if it is up to the job of a restoration. If it is, I will have it bent strait, sandblasted, and powder coated JohnDeere green and probably sell it. The problem is, will the metal be strong enough to handel a few hundred more hours of use? Will the soft metal bend if used? I would probably add a replaceable cutting edge to it if it is marketable. but I want to make sure i can before i put my money into it. I need the money from it right now to build my invention, so I hope it is fixable.

Personally, I would be hesitent to sell something which had been through a fire and couldn't guarantee to be good. I would always wonder if I gave them a good deal or sold them a piece of junk. It would bug me over time.

G'day jacob good to see a young one enthused, as all have noted before the tiller will prob o/haul as good as new hopefully you can get a repair manual for the gearbox so as to get the correct preload and backlash for the gearbox. Shame the tractor was so badly destroyed but you can still learn from pulling it to bits especially if you have never been inside one before. As for the bucket you can straighten it up but i think that the heat would have softened the steel too much if you can fit it up to your tractor you might be able to try it out a bit and see if it is going to hold up to use before you sandblast and paint. Yeah, the implements are still sitting there but eventualy I will start to work on them. I am going to test the bucket before spending $$$ on it. If it isnt marketable, i can find a way to use it on my tractors or my dad's tractor.
