i need to find my 3600 manual i had.. see if they can run that high a weight product u can run oil in a diesel u may just have to modify the injection timing or compression via boost but i bet it can be done.. and know at a min. level it can be and is done routinely.. i wonder how they filter the oil like on the centinel system from cummins or in off road applications if any?

Besides carbon concerns, remember that the fuel has to have a certain "lubricity" or the injectors may wear out quickly. Personally I would mix the oil with a lot of diesel. Besides, that fuel needs to be thin enough to flow through the filter.

You may even want to put in some good diesel fuel additive (Stanadyne, Power Service, etc) per tank to make sure the lubricity is adequate.

If they are synthetic, with their higher flash points, I think that carbon will be more of an issue.

You got me thinking.
I have some old hydro and motor oil I have been accumulating and I put 1 1/2 small coffee cans of the oil along with some John Deere diesel fuel conditioner into a 5 gallon container and then filled the container up with diesel. I have not had any problems yet,I cannot tell by the performance of the tractor nor is there any difference in the exhaust smoke that would even indicate I had added the oil to my diesel. For right now it looks like a win win situation for me by getting rid of the waste oil.
