Bush Hog 285 - bush hog

Just bought a nice 285 Hush Hog at auction. It looks as though it’s been used 2 times at the most. This thing is perfect and heavy duty.
Curious what these sell for? Paid higher than I wanted, but got a nice one.

At this point it doesn't matter much what other 285's sell for. You're in for the amount YOU paid.

I bought a 286 years ago from the local Kubota dealer for $500. I've seen the same exact bushhog on CL here recently for $1200-$1300. Has the same exact bearing problem I had on mine since it has the same exact frame damage as mine i.e. the blade hitting the upper cover.

There's a 286 on CL in my area right now for $1,950!!!!!
