bush hog blade question

/ bush hog blade question #11
I got a pair of blades for my Woods Cadet at Tractor Supply. I belive they're intended for a Bush Hog and were too long for the Woods. I thought I'd have to use a cut off wheel to shorten them and was surprised to find that my metal cutting bandsaw went right through them. I hope to install them this week.

Here are pics of the old and new blades.
They probably would have lasted another 10 years! But I am not that guy! :)
It cuts like a Finnish Mower now.

You got your monies worth out of the old set. Does anyone have a good
idea of use for old blades? I probably have 50 sets in a stack. I have cut
the hole end off before and made really big washers.

How hard are the blades? I have discovered that once the cutting edge gets rounded back they don't cut nearly as good as they did when the cutting edge was straight.

If you need another 3" of sharp edge, whip out the old 7" angle grinder and sharpen it back a few more inches.
