Bush Hog vs Vine Maple

Knute-

Where abouts are you located? I will gladly take a vine maple or two off your hands if you are close by. We have many huge big leaf maples on the property but could always use vine maples.

PM me if you like.

Thanks in advance,

Bonehead

I know just what you're talking about Highbeam, I used to be down around Buckley every day for several years. Slow and easy, if it works, great, if not I'll see about geting my neighbor with the dozer down to pop them out.

I live in Buckley but the land I am clearing is out on the Key Penninsula in the puget sound. The major difference in these two locations is the rocks. There is nothing but rocks in Buckley and no rocks on the property in Key Penninsula. No rocks. I can pick a spot and jamb a shovel all the way in. The clay can get pretty sticky though.

I tried that with some 2"-3" chicken trees, and the FEL just sheared them off nearly flush with the ground. Of course my FEL is very sharp. I think I can shear off bigger trees, as the 3" ones don't even cause wheel spin. I will try some 4"-5" trees later this year.
