Bush hogging 7-8 ft wild brush/trees with Kioti NX6010 and Bush hog BH26

Over the years, we've bent our share of rotary cutter shields, skirts, sides etc. We have a fully equipped shop and my brother is a really good welder and I considered reinforcing some of our cutters. I finally decided with a given force, something is going to bend or break and I'd rather it be my cutter than something on my tractor. I credit this approach to logic, wisdom and a full understanding of mechanical forces, the pretzel shaped hydraulic top link lying around here somewhere is purely coincidental.

I've hit many things going in reverse like that going slow. It has not been a problem as of yet. I go slow enough that I feel a 'bump' and then I stop and check out the source. I suppose though if going just a touch faster that the dents I have might have been all the way into the blade!

This is the mower I would like to have for mowing heavy brush, http://www.erskineattachments.com/attachments-catalog/3-point-brush-mower.pdf, instead I use a older 7 ft rhino pull type on my DK 45 with added brush bending bar below the front grill and a 3/4 plywood j bolted under the hyd /filter areas.
