Rotary Cutter Bushhog Blades Question

   / Bushhog Blades Question #12
I haven't met a bushhog but that either the 1-5/8 or 1-3/4 socket would not fit.

6-point of course

They might fit, but not well. 1-11/16" is the proper size for the vast majority of Bush Hog, Landpride and some Woods blade bolt nuts. 1-5/8" will fit exactly none of these nuts when new.

I think it was the old nuts I was using. 1-5/8 almost just fit, but the nuts were really rusty. dressed them a bit and the 1-5/8 fit like a glove.

Then in my set, I grab the next size up for blades. To be honest, it might be a 1-11/16, I never look at the size. I just know where it is located at in the case.

Just went to the shop and looked. I have been using a 1-3/4 for sure. 6-point. No way would I do it with a 12-pt. Still worth having a full 3/4 drive set....even if you choose to buy the 1-11/16 separate.
