Have been looking at Box Blades last couple of months (LandPride and Bushhog). Today, dealer where I got my tractor quoted me a price of $498.00 for BushHog SBX720 (6', adjustable scarifers, two cutting edges, 550 lb unit). Is this a reasonable price? Its a few hundred cheaper than than LandPride unit I looked at, but is a slightly lighter unit.

Thanks

I got what I believe to be a comparable Land Pride box blade with my tractor. It is a Land Pride BB1560. My cost on it was $500, installed on the tractor. I landscape with it and have enjoyed it so far.

Showing my ignorance here, I have to ask this. What is a "plate hitch"? /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif/w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

I have the 6' BH unit. It's been fantastic. I've done acres of landscaping and use it to mantain my 800' drive. In my mind you cannot go wrong with BH!
