Rotary Cutter Bushog

New to me 286 bushog. $1,300. Some improvements over the past 25 years compared to my old one. Hard to find good used equipment. New stuff is getting expensive fast.

Anybody found a good rebuild for the front skids?
My old one didn’t have bolt-on replaceable skids. This one is only 1/4” thick and already worn thru at the front corners. Thinking of bending and welding a 12” long by 3”x0.5 CR flatbar on the front corner skids.

Unit looks in decent shape to have the skids wore out. I would weld new flat stock to rebuild skids and go cut some weeds.

Not much wear, stored inside. Just set too low in the front. My old one sides are well worn and not as heavy. Everything is well worn. Still cuts good but having one with better sides will help.

What type of farming operation"s do they have going on in the state of Washington that require all those 400-600 hp tractors? Just curious.

10-4 would have never guessed it, that's a long way from Florida. .
