Business Must Be Good

I have just about given up on Deere. The product may be fine but I can't get anyone to talk to me. Last year I wanted to buy a $5,000 implement off the lot and despite three calls and messages, no call back. This year I needed service on my larger Deere ag tractor that I bought from that dealer. Message brought no response and no call back so it took it to a smaller dealer 40 miles away and he checked it out same day. I couldn't have been happier with that dealer.
So I either buy Deere from someone 40 miles away--and that's OK, but Kubota seems more eager to do biz.

I had a Similiar experience last month when I contacted my two closest New Holland dealerships to enquire about buying a new T4.75. One place told me to put my trade in on my trailer and bring it by for them to look at for value. When I called the second place the salesman told me he had two customers to deal with but after helping them would drive the 20 miles to my place to look at my trade in. Sure enough, two hours later, he drove up the drive introduced himself and we proceded to look at my trade in tractor. He checked it out, took some pictures then left. Next morning he phoned me with the trade in price and price on the T4.75. I was really impressed with this service just from my one phone call.

MY JD buying experience was the exact opposite, easiest and best experience I have actually had buying any kind of vehicle. Dealer was 80 miles away, best price I could find in 4 states, did the whole deal over the phone and my salesman personally delivered it and showed me how to operate everything.

That's the way it should be:thumbsup:

No intent to hijack the thread.. God knows I've had more than a belly-full of wrangling with my local guys!

But, I have been in the hunt for a 60hp hydro tractor for a couple of years. Have wanted one so my wife can help more with hay chores.

Very interested in the cab, Grand L. So, I looked one over pretty thoroughly the last time visiting my Dad in SD. Loved the cab, the layout, the overall size, control response, etc., etc. Price was pretty much in line with the JD4720.

Quick reason I finally bought a JD 4720 (even though my local dealer is sometimes a waste of good oxygen) was the loader mount clearance (lack of) and the placement of the hydraulic filter and the loader quick disconnects. I would be very concerned about wrecking both the filter and the quick disconnects!! My woods with small trees and heavy brush would be a bad mix..
